Blog recommendation: designworklife

I'm in love with reading blogs that make me feel like one day I will put forth an effort and make my life beautiful. If only the sofa and the TV would stop insisting I just sit down and waste my precious hours.

One blog in particular is lovely: designworklife. A design blog from the owners of design firm Seamless Creative in NYC that features bits and bobs found around the internet that have a great look to them -- usually clean and stylish and instantly make me smile. Sort of like tequila on the internet.

There are a few things I absolutely adore about this blog:

  • The two people who run Seamless Creative studied communication design at Syracuse University, causing me to immediately become obsessed, and then email them to tell them how I was obsessed. They were friendly, in a guarded, freaked out way.

  • The bits they feature are always varied, even if they aren't to my taste all the time. They pull things from photographers, typographers, graphic designer, illustrators, etc and makes for a great collection.

  • They update all the time. There could be half a dozen or most posts a day which makes for a lot of lovely designs to look through.

  • Lucky for me, come Christmas time they put out a gift guide filled with gorgeous things that I want all to myself. You know, like item 2 on page 33. Or entirety of pages 21 and 22.

Have a look and Merry Christmas!
